History
The seed for baby&taylor was sewn long before the inception of the brand itself. Set in the town of Troyes, the birthplace of France’s knitwear industry, Marcel Vitoux, would pioneer the Stocking Remesh Machine–one of the first mechanical knitting machines, ever to be invented. This newly invented technology allowed Marcel, and his family to drastically grow their services, and eventually, Vitos began selling and manufacturing women’s intimates and fashions across all corners of the globe.
Vision
It was the vision of Marie-Sophie Provot-Ragueneau, the Grand-Daughter of Marcel Vitoux to clad young French children in the fashions of contemporary Paris. And it is with the passion of the generations before her, that Marie-Sophie would begin a journey into children’s wear with the inception of Baby Taylor.
Baby Taylor was soon dressing contemporary French children with hints of tradition, and touches of a modern Parisian look. And from Paris, New York to Tokyo, Baby Taylor soon became a luxurious house-hold name for children’s ready to wear.
Today
Valerie Toyomura and husband Julien are reawakening Marie-Sophie’s vision. Injecting an ounce of modernity to the name, now baby&taylor continues to dress our little ones in spotless, well tailored silhouettes that are peppered with flavours of Paris.

Caring for cashmere
Hand wash cold with a mild wool detergent, or use a delicate machine cycle inside a mesh bag. Never wring; press the water out in a towel, reshape and dry flat away from direct heat. Fold rather than hang, and store clean with a cedar block between seasons. A little pilling is natural in soft cashmere and lifts away gently with a cashmere comb.

Créée avec une vraie volonté d’allier un savoir-faire à une qualité irréprochable, baby&taylor redonne vie à la tradition de vêtir les enfants de la meilleure qualité de maille qu’il soit. Structure familiale, riche de ses ancrages à Paris et Tokyo, baby&taylor propose un style frais et gai pour des enfants dans l’air du temps.
Tout debute à Troyes, berceau de la maille en France où Marcel Vitoux invente la machine à remailler les bas – une des premières machines- outils utilisée dans l’industrie de la maille. Cette nouvelle technologie permit à Marcel et sa famille d’élargir leur gamme et c’est ainsi que Vitos commenca la production et la vente d’articles de mode et de bonneterie à l’international.

En 1978, animée par la même passion que que son aïeul, Marie-Sophie Provot-Ragueneau petite-fille de Marcel Vitoux, se lance à son tour avec sa première collection pour enfants. Baby Taylor était né.
Baby Taylor proposait un style mêlant les codes d’une garde-robe enfantine traditionnelle à ceux plus modernes de l’époque. De Paris à New-York et Tokyo, Baby Taylor devint rapidement une référence du prêt-à-porter haut de gamme pour enfant.
aujourd'hui
Valerie Toyomura et son mari Julien relancent aujourd’hui la vision de Marie-Sophie en insufflant un zest de modernité à la marque baptisée désormais ‘baby&taylor’. baby&taylor continue de proposer des silhouettes impeccables, réalisées avec soin et toujours dynamisées de clins d’oeil à une mode résolument parisienne.

歴史
baby&taylor の根源は、ブランドの発足よりずっと前まで遡ります。フランスのニット産業の発祥の地トロワにて、マルセールヴィトゥは当時初めての機械編み機のひとつ、ストッキングレメッシュマシンを発明しました。
マルセールと彼の家族は、これにより大幅に事業を成長 させ、ヴィトス社は女性の下着製品を世界中で販売するに至りました。
ビジョン
その後、フランスの子供たちに現代的なパリのファッションを浸透させたいという夢を持った孫娘のマリーソフィープロヴォラグノは、祖父マルセールヴィトゥの世代の情熱と共に、 「Baby Taylor」として子供服のブ ランドを発表。

現在
